Welcome to the Speaker Resource Center!

Information to better prepare speakers at a DCBA Education Program.

DCBA members can earn 1 hour of free MCLE or PRMCLE credit at monthly section meetings. Presentations must last for one hour total and must include significant intellectual, educational or practical content that increases participant’s competency as an attorney and deals primarily with matters related to the practice of law. Section MCLE meetings take place at noon and the date varies based on each section.

All courses require quality written materials that can be distributed to participants before or at the course. Providers should not plan a course to be presented without thorough, carefully prepared written materials as such materials fill a valuable role in the overall learning experience.  The DCBA does not provide paper handouts to meeting attendees, all handouts are provided electronically.

DCBA Seminars are MCLE or PRMCLE  presentations over one hour in length and  are in-depth presentations on a particular topic related to the practice of law. Members and non-members are charged a fee to attend a seminar.

To learn more about these programs, please contact Barb Mendralla at or 630-653-7779 ext. 115.

If you are a business or organization interested in presenting at a 1 hour Bar Association Section Meeting or a multi- hour Seminar, please submit the presentation proposal form to DCBA Continuing Education Manager, Barb Mendralla at

The form will be forwarded to the Section Chair, who will make the final decision.
