DCBA Member David F. Rolewick Reappointed Chair of the ARDC

David F. Rolewick Founding Partner of Rolewick & Gutzke, P.C of Wheaton, IL has been reappointed by the Supreme Court of Illinois as Chair of the Illinois Attorney Registration and Disciplinary Commission (ARDC). The ARDC regulates the legal profession in the state through attorney registration and education and investigating and prosecuting claims of ethics violations.


Mr. Rolewick’s term as Chair began on January 1, 2019. He has voluntarily served the ARDC since 1990 in multiple capacities, including serving as a member of the Inquiry Board, Hearing Board, and Review Board. He served as a Commissioner from 2011 to 2015 and Vice-Chair of the Commission from 2016 to 2018. Rolewick represents clients in matters related to business law and commercial litigation. His practice also includes estate planning, wealth transfer, trust and probate litigation, and commercial real estate litigation. He serves as an expert witness in legal malpractice cases.


As a member of the DuPage County Bar Association, Mr. Rolewick has served on multiple committees. He is also a member of the Illinois State Bar Association where he has served as a Section Council Member and Chair and on various task forces. He has been a member of the American Bar Association since 1971. He served on the Board of Directors for the Illinois Bar Foundation, as President of the DuPage County Estate Planning Council, as a member of the DuPage County Chapter of the American Inns of Court, and as a member of the Institute of Illinois Business Law.


Over the course of his career, Attorney Rolewick has received multiple awards and honors. He has a 10.0 Superb rating from Avvo and was named a Preeminent Lawyer by Martindale-Hubbell. He was selected as an Illinois Super Lawyer for five consecutive years from 2006-2011 and a Leading Lawyer since 2003. He was named a Leading West Suburban Lawyer by West Suburban Living. He lectures and publishes articles on his practice areas of the law regularly.
