O'Brien - Supreme Court of Illinois Topic Summary: What type of case or grounds increase a PLA's chances of being allowed by the Supreme Court? In other words, what is the Supreme Court looking for in your PLA when reviewing whether the PLA should be allowed or denied? This program will also examine Illinois Supreme Court Rule 315 and additional information regarding PLAs in the Supreme Court. What You Will Learn By Attending This Presentation:
1. Participants will learn what grounds are most often associated with a PLA that has been allowed by the Supreme Court. 2. Participants will learn when a PLA must be filed, and what contents must be included in a PLA. 3. Participants will learn additional information regarding PLAs in the Supreme Court and will also be afforded the opportunity to ask Justice O'Brien any questions they may have regarding the PLA process.
