Speaker: Charles Northrup - Illinois State Bar Association General Counsel, and Jerry Larkin and Ben Boroughf - Illinois Attorney Registration & Disciplinary Commission

Topic: ISBA Counsel, Charles Northup, will discuss a number of current issues facing the courts and the legal profession, including fee sharing with non-lawyers and the ABA's proposed Rule 8.4 regarding sexual harassment. On the subject of fee sharing, Jerry and Ben will share the ARDC's pending Intermediary Connecting Services proposal presented to the Illinois Supreme Court and how it could affect the practice and business of law in DuPage County.  Charles will present what is going on in the rest of the country regarding alternative business structures and Limited Licensed Legal Technicians (LLLTs) possibly headed for Illinois. Attend the presentation so you can understand how these issues affect your practice and the legal services industry and how you can share your position on the proposed regulations on for-profit matching services.


Attendees will gain a heightened understanding of:

- Current Illinois Rules of Professional Conduct (IRPC)

- Contemplated changes to the (IRPC)

- Changes facing the business of law
