DuPage County Bar Designated Accredited Provider of Minimum Continuing Legal Education


WHEATON, Illinois - The DuPage County Bar Association has been designated as an Accredited Minimum Continuing Legal Education (MCLE) Provider by the Minimum Continuing Legal Education Board of the Supreme Court in Illinois. Effective retroactively to January 1, 2006, all continuing legal education courses offered by the DCBA are presumptively qualified for MCLE credit until the Association's application renewal of January 1, 2008.

All Illinois attorneys must earn twenty MCLE hours in their initial two year reporting period by attending seminars and bar association meetings with presentations on substantive law, professionalism, diversity issues, mental illness and addiction issues, civility, or legal ethics. Those with last names ending in A-M must earn a minimum of 20 MCLE hours, including four professional responsibility hours, between July 1, 2006 and June 30, 2008. Those with last names ending in N-Z must earn a minimum of 20 MCLE hours, including four professional responsibility hours, between July 1, 2007 and June 30, 2009. Up to ten hours earned from January 1-June 30, 2006 may be carried over.
