DCBA Congratulates New Associate Judges

Nominees rated "Highly Recommended" by Judiciary Committee

WHEATON, Ill. - DuPage County Bar Association President Fred Spitzzeri congratulates the 18th Judicial Circuit's two newest Associate Judges, who were designated as "Highly Recommended" for the position by the DCBA's Judiciary Committee. Chief Judge Ann B. Jorgensen announced the appointment of Timothy J. McJoynt and Mary Elizabeth O'Connor to the judiciary on Friday, July 13.

The DCBA Judiciary Committee's recommendations are the result of an investigation and screening process conducted by the 19 committee members representing various years of practice experience selected from among more than 2,000 bar association members. Candidates were evaluated upon the following criteria: 1) legal knowledge and ability which includes professional experience; 2) integrity; 3) judicial temperament; 4) diligence and punctuality; and 5) health.
