WHEATON, Illinois - The DuPage County Bar Foundation will sponsor a celebrity roast of Jim Ryan on Friday evening, Sept. 23, 2005 at the Hilton Lisle/Naperville, 3003 Corporate West Drive in Lisle.

The roast was conceived by the foundation's immediate past president, Kevin H. Millon, who will also serve as master of ceremonies. Guest speakers set to reminisce about the former Illinois Attorney General include Judge John W. Darrah of the U.S. Federal District Court; Judge Stephen J. Culliton of the 18th Judicial Circuit; and Ryan's son, Attorney James M. Ryan of Ryan & Kavvadias.

"The Jim Ryan Roast is a major fundraiser for the DuPage County Bar Foundation, the educational and charitable arm of the DuPage County Bar Association," said DCBF President Neal W. Cerne. "The foundation awards an annual scholarship to an incoming second-year law student from DuPage, sponsors a monthly public service project called 'Lawyers Lending a Hand,' and awards financial grants to local 501(c)(3) organizations focused on improving and facilitating the administration of justice."
