In remarks to several hundred of the DCBA's 2,000 member attorneys and their guests, Gaffney said: "My theme for the year is 'Every Member Matters.' Our first stated goal is to provide professional development and continuing legal education for members." Gaffney also reported that "The DCBA, along with the DuPage County Bar Legal Aid Service, provided 5,445 hours of free legal services to the underprivileged of DuPage County in 2005 through the services of 203 full-time staff attorneys and the pro bono work of members.
