McCluskey of Batavia Receives DuPage Bar Award for Outstanding Legal Service WHEATON, Illinois - The DuPage County Bar Association presented attorney James F. McCluskey of Batavia with its Ralph A. Gabric Award for outstanding legal service. "Jim McCluskey has earned this distinction by being someone we can always count on," said Neal W. Cerne, outgoing DCBA President. "His contributions range from helping manage the bar's finances to taking part in our annual Judges' Nite show. Most notable is his annual participation in the Chicago Marathon and Wisconsin Ironman Triathlon to raise funds for the DuPage Bar Legal Aid Foundation." The annual award, named in memory of the late Ralph A. Gabric, Past President of the DuPage County Bar Association and Illinois State Bar Association, is presented to DCBA member attorneys in recognition of distinguished service to the organization and legal community. McCluskey is a partner in the Downers Grove law firm of Momkus, McCluskey, Monroe, Marsh & Spyratos, concentrating in the trial of automobile, premises, professional and commercial liability cases. He is a graduate of Elmhurst College (1976) and Northern Illinois University College of Law (1979), and received a Master of Laws degree from The John Marshall Law School in 1988. He resides in Batavia with his wife, Jeanne, and their daughters, Jamie and Jessica. James McCluskey is a Past President of the DuPage County Bar Association and DuPage County Bar Foundation. He chaired the DCBA Judiciary, Lawyer Referral Service and Planning Committees, represented the association in the ABA House of Delegates, and is a member of the Civil Law Committees with the DuPage and Kane County Bar Associations. He currently is a member of the Illinois State Bar Association Civil Practice & Procedure Section Council as well as the ISBA's Assembly. He chairs the ISBA Agenda & Program Committee. |
