Awards Law School Scholarships to Wheaton, Ill -- The DuPage County Bar Foundation presented its annual Hartman E. Stime Scholarship in the amount of $5,000 each to Marley C. Nelson of Elmhurst, a first year student at University of Illinois College of Law; and Cynthia N. Edwards of Downers Grove, a second year student at Northern Illinois University College of Law. The presentation was made on May 2, 2008 in conjunction with the DuPage County Bar Association's Law Day Luncheon at Klein Creek Golf Club. This scholarship is named in honor of the late Hartman E. Stime, a long-time DCBA member distinguished for his many years of pro bono work and community service efforts on behalf of the poor and elderly. The scholarship is awarded annually to an incoming second- or third-year law student from DuPage County based on academic achievement and financial need. About the DCBF -- The DuPage County Bar Foundation (DCBF) is a 501c(3) not-for-profit organization primarily funded by DuPage Bar members and supporters. Its mission is to assist DuPage County Bar Association members and their families, as well as preserve and promote the integrity of the legal profession for the public benefit. |
