DuPage County Bar Association Judiciary Committee Issues Candidate Recommendations for 18th Circuit Judge

WHEATON, Illinois - The DuPage County Bar Association's Judiciary Committee has issued recommendations on the candidates in the February 5, 2008 Primary Election for Judge in the 18th Circuit, which encompasses DuPage County.

The recommendations are the result of an investigation and screening process conducted by the Judiciary Committee, which is composed of 19 attorneys representing various areas and years of practice selected from among 2,000 attorney members of the DuPage County Bar Association.

Candidates were evaluated on: 1) legal knowledge and ability which includes professional experience; 2) integrity; 3) judicial temperament; 4) diligence and punctuality; and 5) health.

Following investigation and candidate interviews, the committee rates each by one of the following categories: "Highly Recommended," "Recommended," or "Not Presently Recommended." Candidates not participating in the process are rated: "Not Interviewed - No Recommendation."
