The DCBA has built 4 PowerPoint templates in order to assist you in developing your PowerPoint presentation slides.
We ask that if you choose not to use the entire slides set to please use the 1. Intro Slide AND 2. Final Evaluation Slide:
Tips for Creating Effective Presentations:
1. Minimize the number of slides.
2. Choose a font style and size your audience can read from a distance.
3. Keep your text simple (remove "a" and "the").
4. Make slide backgrounds simple. What you see on your computer may not project the same way.
5. Arrive early to test any videos or links to the internet.
1. Repeat attendee questions for the entire audience.
2. Dress attire should always be business.
3. Speak clearly and slowly into the microphone.
4. Be over prepared with your materials.
5. PowerPoints are encouraged for presentations over 30
minutes in length.
6. For recorded presentations, DO NOT WALK AROUND.

What is Mega Meeting?
DCBA’s Annual Education Day “Mega Meeting" is a day and a half event in January which features up to 5 hours of MCLE and 3.5 PRMCLE credits and the opportunity to host local exhibitors. Attendees can connect with various areas of legal practice with engaged presenters and network with colleagues.
How long does my presentation need to be?
Each presentation is 60 minutes in length. We ask speakers to speak for at least 50 minutes and leave 10 minutes for question and answers.
Is there a template for my presentation?
Yes, we encourage speakers to use one of the four PowerPoint templates provided on this webpage. If you choose not to use the entire slide set, please include the intro and final evaluation slide.
In what format should I submit my materials?
We encourage speakers to submit
in either Microsoft Word or PowerPoint format. DCBA Staff will ensure materials are converted to PDF for distribution to attendees.
What Audio Visual equipment can I use and what will I need to bring?
All rooms will be outfitted with a podium and mic. The DCBA can provide other AV equipment provided the speaker fills out the AV Form. For PowerPoint presentations, please make sure to bring a flash drive with a copy of your presentation, just for good measure.
Will there be internet accessibility?
The venue will provide an access code for free wifi throughout the complex, however speed and reliability cannot be guaranteed. We strongly suggest downloading videos, articles, etc.
As a speaker, will I have access to see the setup of my presentation room in advance?
Yes, but only during the 15 minute break prior to your presentation start time.
How will handouts be distributed?
The DCBA will provide a special link to all attendees to download the handouts online one week before the event. Attendees will also be able to purchase a printed copy of the seminar course book for an additional fee. Please make sure to have your materials in by January 6th.
What if I need to update my handouts after I submit them?
We are aware that changes can occur, but please note that there is a chance that attendees may not receive the most up to date version of the materials.
Where do I need to check in upon arrival?
Please check in with DCBA staff at the
registration payment table located across from the Ballroom upon arrival to the venue.
What time should I arrive at my assigned presentation room?
Please arrive 15 minutes before your scheduled time to allow time for any AV setup.
What is my presentation room assignment?
Speakers will be emailed his/her room assignment in advance of the event. The assigned rooms will also be listed in the program guide upon arrival when checking in.
As a speaker for Mega Meeting, is there a special registration fee?
Speakers receive complimentary registration for the day in which you are scheduled to speak, as guests of the DCBA. Please inform Janine Komornick of which sessions you plan to attend before January 6th. This will allow us to account appropriately for food and beverage.
