Chief Judge Announces Two Finalists for Associate Judge Vacancy

Chief Circuit Judge Kathryn E. Creswell is pleased to announce that following an February 22, 2017 meeting of the Circuit Judges of the Eighteenth Circuit Court, two finalists for the Office of Associate Judge have been selected and certified to the Illinois Supreme Court. The finalists are seeking to fill the vacancy created by the retirement of Associate Judge William Ferguson. From these names, the Circuit Judges will select one appointee by secret ballot:
Christine T. Cody, J.D.-Loyola University School of Law, Chicago, IL 1994; admitted to the practice of law in Illinois, 1995. Ms. Cody is a Partner with the Law Offices of Rohde & Cody, P.C. in Addison, IL (2011 - present). Prior to that, she was of Counsel with the Law Offices of Charles A. Rohde (2006-2011); an Adjunct Professor at College of DuPage, Glen Ellyn, IL (2008-2011); a Partner with the Law Offices of Cody, Mitacek & Rohde, P.C., Addison, IL (1999-2006; an Assistant State's Attorney for the DuPage County State's Attorney's Office, Wheaton, IL (1995-1999); and as an Associate at DiMonte, Schostack & Lizak, LLC, Park Ridge, IL (1995). Ms. Cody is an active member with the DuPage County Bar Association, the DuPage County Criminal Defense Lawyers Association and the Illinois State Bar Association.
Michael W. Reidy, J.D.-DePaul University College of Law, Chicago, IL 1996; admitted to the practice of law in Illinois, 1996. Mr. Reidy is of Counsel with Marquardt & Belmonte, Wheaton, IL (2012-present). Previously, he was a Partner with Martin, Kent & Reidy, Wheaton, IL (2010-2012); First Assistant State's Attorney for the Kendall Coutny State's Attorney's Office in Yorkville, IL (2006-2010); and an Assistant State's Attorney for the DuPage County State's Attorney's Office, Wheaton, IL (1997-2006). Mr. Reidy is an active member of the DuPage County Bar Association and the Illinois State Bar Association.
