DuPage County Attorney Edward J. Walsh, of Walsh, Knippen, Pollock & Cetina, Chartered, has received the 2016 Trial Excellence Lifetime Achievement Award from the Law Bulletin Publishing Company and Jury Verdict Reporter.

The law firm of Walsh, Knippen, Pollock & Cetina, Chartered is proud to announce that Founding Partner Edward J. Walsh has received the 2016 Trial Excellence Lifetime Achievement Award.
On an annual basis, the editors and officers of the Law Bulletin Publishing Company (LBPC) and the Jury Verdict Reporter (JVR) select one trial lawyer in Illinois who exclusively represents injured plaintiffs and awards that attorney with the “Trial Lawyer Excellence Lifetime Achievement Award” in recognition of the successful representation of his or her clients. At this year’s event, the LBPC and JVR presented Ed Walsh with the coveted award.
Attorney Edward J. Walsh practices in DuPage and Cook Counties and is the founding member of his law firm Walsh, Knippen, Pollock & Cetina, Chtd., established in 1980. He has devoted his 43-year legal career to securing justice for his severely and catastrophically injured clients and their families. He provides representation to plaintiff clients with serious injuries related to medical malpractice, car accidents, truck accidents, product liability, and legal malpractice. Walsh also handles cases pertaining to wrongful death incidents.
In addition to continuing to represent an extremely limited and select number of private clients and their families, Walsh provides pro bono services to non-profit environmental organizations in southeastern Minnesota.
Walsh has been recognized as an Illinois “Super Lawyer” for 12 straight years since 2005. He is also rated as a “Top Medical Malpractice Attorney” on AVVO, and maintains the status of a “Leading Lawyer” in Illinois. He has also been named a “Top 100 Lawyer” by the National Trial Lawyers organization.
Walsh is a member of the American Bar Association (Litigation Section), and is on the Board of Managers of the Illinois Trial Lawyers Association. By appointment of the Illinois Supreme Court, he serves as a member of the Supreme Court Rules Committee, the Supreme Court Commission on Professionalism, and a past member of the Special Supreme Court E-Business Committee and the Supreme Court Character and Fitness Committee. Walsh is the past associate general counsel and general counsel for the DuPage County Bar Association under the terms of five presidents, and is a past president of the Inns of Court.
