Britten School, formerly known as MacNeal School is seeking a volunteer attorney to serve on its Board. Located in Westchester, Britten School supports grades K through 12 in a therapeutic environment for about 70 students with social/emotional disorders, behavior disorders, learning disabilities, other health impairments and high level autism. Effective in August, Britten School is transitioning from the for profit, MacNeal School, associated with MacNeal Hospital, to an independent not-for-profit school.
We are looking for an attorney in the western Chicago or west suburban area to serve on our board of directors. While the time commitment is minimal, the impact for the students served is great. We currently have 5 members on our board and meet once per month for 2 to 3 hours. If you are an attorney who desires to give back something to your community, please contact me, Bill Armstrong, by e-mail at firstname.lastname@example.org, or you may call the school directly at 708-343-7500 and ask for Dr. Elaine Moor or Michele Hixon.
Until the transition is completed, our website can be found at macnealschool.com.
