The Mullen Memorial Golf League, originally known as the “DCBA Ad Hoc Golf League,” was formed by Terry Mullen, a prior DCBA Lawyer of the Year and former Director, Sustaining Member, colleague, and friend of the bar. Terry was an avid golfer and a friend to many DuPage County attorneys and legal professionals, and he wanted to find a way to combine his love for golf with his passion for friendships and engagement of fellow members of the DCBA. The result was the creation of a standing weekly “appointment” encouraging DCBA members to spend a couple of hours together playing golf at various area courses and to gather afterward – to get to know one another for the first time or to visit with established friends – in a casual environment.
Unfortunately, and all too soon, Terry passed away in January of 2015. By continuing this league that he started, we hope to honor Terry’s commitment to the DCBA and promotion of goodwill and collegiality, to have his memory as a valued member of the bar live on, and to enjoy time together as friends enjoying the sport he loved.
