KACHIROUBAS ANNOUNCES NEW E-BUSINESS INITIATIVE
The Clerk of the Circuit Court’s office worked jointly with  I2File.Net to provide E-Motions

The Honorable Chris Kachiroubas, Clerk of the Eighteenth Circuit Court, today announced a major expansion of his office’s technology. The new program will allow litigants to schedule the presentation of motions over the internet. The expanded program application will be available using the e-filing web site I2file.Net effective September 1, 2013.

The Honorable Chief Judge John T. Elsner approved the Clerk’s move to make available the presentations of e-motions.  "Parties have taken advantage of electronic document filings here in DuPage since 2004.  It is time to make available ‘e-motions’ to schedule cases online using state of the art technology. E-motions provides convenience, improved access, and saves labor costs associated with data entry, the current manual process requires three to five steps and can be time and labor intensive”.

Kachiroubas said.   "In recent years, my office has made available e-citations, e-warrants, and e-orders of protections, in addition to e-filing. As Clerk, I will continue to promote and deliver technology solutions for the users of the court system here in DuPage County.” Kachiroubas, in his third term as Clerk has led the way for e-business in the courts.

Working in conjunction with Chief Judge Elsner and DuPage County State’s Attorney Bob Berlin, DuPage uses electronic signature technology to create electronic orders. These initiatives continue to improve the accuracy of the court records and gives paper-on-demand meaning in the courts. These e-business initiatives and the consequential cost savings to the general public led to today’s announcement of the program’s expansion. Kachiroubas further stated that the program will be monitored to assure its viability and effectiveness.
