Essay Contest In recognition of the 50th anniversary of this landmark case, the DCBA Brief Publication Board in conjunction with the Law Day Committee is sponsoring an essay contest open to attorneys and non-attorneys alike. The deadline for essay submission is Monday, February 16, 2004. Any topic related to Brown, e.g., discrimination, impact on culture, doctrine of stare decisis, inequity as it related to race, gender, age, sexual orientation, disability, etc. may be submitted. Essays will be submitted to a panel anonymously and will be judged on originality of thought. Awards may be given to the top three essays and all entries will be considered for publication in the Brief magazine.
