Clinical Faculty Position

The Law Offices of Chicago-Kent College of Law of the Illinois Institute of Technology is accepting applications for a full-time in-house clinical faculty member from attorneys who are interested in representing consumers in arbitration proceedings who assert violations in consumer law contracts they have signed. The attorney we employ will establish and supervise a Consumer Law Arbitration Clinic located at the law school.

The attorney hired for the position will supervise student interns on their case work and teach them related lawyering skills. The student interns will work on consumer arbitration cases generated by the attorney who will be expected to generate a significant number of fee-generating cases.

The attorney's salary is negotiable and is based on experience but will be primarily determined by the amount of fees the attorney is able to generate from the clients he or she represents. The position carries full University benefits including medical, group life insurance, retirement, etc.

Preference will be given to candidates who have been admitted to the Illinois Bar for a minimum of three (3) years, have a strong dispute resolution background, and have experience related to educating law students in the practice of law. The Law Offices offers an excellent opportunity for talented attorneys wishing to teach and practice in a unique in-house clinical education setting.
