As the November 11 deadline approaches, several members have signed on to be DuPage County Bar Foundation Inaugural Ambassadors.  Ambassador Funds will be utilized to establish and endowment for the Foundation.  Members committing their support include:

Inaugural Ambassadors will receive recognition in the DCBA Brief as well as on a commemorative plaque which will be placed in the Attorney Resource Center.  Each Inaugural Ambassador will also receive a personal nametag.  Most importantly, Ambassadors will know that their contribution is going directly toward scholarships for deserving law school students; justice focused charitable organizations such as CASA, Lawyers' Assistance Program, and DuPage County Legal Aid; funding for Lawyers Lending a Hand; and assistance to attorneys facing severe financial distress.

DCBF has given out over $150,000 since its creation in 1997.  The goal behind the Ambassador program is to establish a firmer source of income through the establishment of an endowment.  Historically, DCBF has received funds and then given them right out.  The Board would like to be more intentional in its fundraising and have the ability to make grants that can greatly impact the organizations that receive them.
