DCBA Docket e-newsletter
The DCBA Board of Directors decided last spring that the time had come to phase out the mailed, monthly DCBA Newsletter. While many members enjoyed this publication, the board wished to update the look of our communications and felt that we could present this information more effectively and in a timelier manner through email. The weekly Lawyers Diary email blast had become most recently, just a list of upcoming events that wasn’t offering any additional information.
After looking at the two publications and listening to members’ requests for fewer emails from the DCBA Office, it was decided to create a new weekly email newsletter that would be the source for information on upcoming events and the latest news from DCBA and DuPage County.
The DCBA Docket will feature regular sections on DCBA news, a list of upcoming events, recent photos, a featured member benefit and information on DuPage County in the news. The key to success of the new publication is that members read it. Email blasts about committee MCLE blasts will no longer be sent to the full membership, but only to the committees that are directly related to the presentation. The only concern with this practice is that sometimes a presentation will appeal to members outside of those committees. Members can request to be added to a committee list at any time or can watch for events on the Docket. The listings will include the topic so members can easily see what might appeal to them.
