Chief Judge Announces New Associate Judge

Chief Circuit Judge John T.Elsner is pleased to announce that following a tabulation of ballots by theAdministrative Office of the Illinois Courts in Springfield, the Circuit Judgesof the 18th Judicial Court have appointed Alexander F. McGimpsey III to
the position of Associate Circuit Judge, filling the vacancy created by the retirement of Associate Judge George Sotos.

The date for the installation ceremony has not yet been determined.

Alexander McGimpsey
III, J.D. - Washington University, St. Louis, MO, 1989; admitted to the practice of law in Illinois, 1989. Mr. McGimpsey is an Assistant with the DuPage County State's Attorney's Office (1992-present), currently serving as Deputy Chief of Child Abuse/Juvenile Domestic Violence. He was previously an Associate with the Chicago firm of Winston and Strawn (1989-1992).
