Please join us for our 2nd annual Eleventh Hour CLE! Between 12pm-4pm you can choose to attend, one, two three or all four presentations and earn up to 4 hours of
approved PRMCLE credits!

A light lunch will be included for the noon program and drinks and snacks will be provided throughout the afternoon.

The following topics will be presented:

1 hour PRMCLE
"The Supreme Court Commission on Professionalism: 
The Legacy of a Great DuPage County Trial Lawyer"

Ed Walsh, Walsh, Knippen Pollock & Cetina

Mr. Walsh will explain the origin of the Illinois Supreme Court Commission on Professionalism (ILSCCP) with a focus on the instrumental roles played by the late DCBA member Roger K. O'Reilly and current DCBA member David Rolewick. Mr. Walsh will also explain the purpose and significance of the ILSCCP and provide professionalism suggestions.

"Ethics Problems in a Picturesque Animal Scene"

The speakers will examine Ethics Scenarios in the context of animal - related legal work.

"Hidden in Plain Sight:  Fraud in Dixon, Illinois
Mary O'Connor, Sikich LLP

The theft of $53 million from the City of Dixon is a textbook case of clean audits, balanced books and reconciled bank accounts where the finances of this small town should have been secure and safe from fraud. This seminar outlines the methods used to steal the money, the culture that let it happen, the measures taken to prevent it in the future and the public and private fall-out. The lessons learned apply equally to government and business. Prevention and incident handling in any setting will also be discussed, as well as attorney ethical considerations.

Local DuPage firms will show how marketing has helped grow their practice, what marketing efforts have been successful and what have not been successful and obtain some statistics on the progress they've seen with the marketing efforts they have utilized. Also, included will be perspectives from marketing firms on what services they can offer to better market a law practice and how proper marketing can help gain exposure to a broader audience locally and within surrounding jurisdictions.
