Elder Law PRMCLE Meeting

This meeting will take place in the BAR CENTER CLASSROOM at 126 S. County Farm Road

 

Speaker: Barry Kozak

Topic: Understanding Rule 1.14: Representing a Client with Diminished Capacity

 

            Attendees will learn:

  • how to recognize when an individual might have diminished mental capacity
  • how to take steps to maintain a normal attorney-client relationship with an individual who the attorney has recognized as having diminished mental capacity
  • how to determine if a client, who has recognized as having diminished capacity, can harm himself unless the attorney takes affirmative action
  • the limits and constraints of taking affirmative action on behalf of a client with diminished capacity.

Time: 11:45 am to 1:00 pm

Location: Bar Center Classroom

Credits: 1 Credit PRMCLE
